Hi – I hope you’re well
First of all I wanted to wish you and yours a very merry Christmas and a happy new year – here’s hoping 2017 is slightly less eventful than 2016…!
I also wanted to drop you a quick update. It’s been a couple of years since The Infernal Aether was published, and 12 months since the follow-up novella A Christmas Aether hit t’internet. I appreciate there’s been a bit of radio silence since then…
But rest assured I’ve been busy, and I have exciting news – the next full-length novel in the series is almost here. The Demon Inside, the sequel to The Infernal Aether, has now been reviewed by a small but perfectly formed group of beta readers who, as well as coming up with some great comments, were all very positive about it. It’s now being subjected to the eagle eyes of my editor and I’m intending to publish it in February 2017 – I’ll be in touch in the new year with more details on this.
In the meantime, I have a little early Christmas present for you. If you click on the link below you’ll not only get an exclusive look at the brand new cover for The Demon Inside, but you’ll also be able to read the first chapter of the new book:
In terms of what’s next, I’m planning a busy 2017, with the third novel in the series (working title: Beyond the Aether) already drafted and scheduled for publication spring/summer 2017. For the time being, that will tie up the storylines started in The Infernal Aether, although I do have a number of prequels and sequels in mind for some point in the future.
I’m also working on something slightly different for my next project – a series which should hit the shelves in summer 2017 and which will be more of a “traditional” historical fiction series (i.e. less of the demons and paranormal/horror stuff!). Again, stay tuned for more info on this.
In the meantime, I’d just like to end by wishing you once again all the best for the festive season, and hope that 2017 brings you all you wish for, and more.
